Shrimp Alfredo Bake is a creamy, savory dish that combines succu shrimp with rich Alfredo sauce and pasta, topped with melted cheese for a perfect finish. It’s not too heavy, making it an ideal meal for any season. If you’re not a fan of shrimp, feel free to substitute it with chicken or vegetables.

It will still be undeniably delicious! If you’re looking for a comforting and satisfying meal that’s not overly complicated, you’ve come to the right place. When you combine tender pasta with a creamy Alfredo sauce and juicy shrimp, you get the perfect dish. The addition of cheese just sends it over the top. I’ve really been in the mood for a comforting meal, and this Shrimp Alfredo Bake hits the spot. Not a fan of shrimp? Don’t worry, it’s still delicious with chicken or vegetables.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  • Large pot
  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowls
  • 9×13 inch baking dish
  • Whisk
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Oven

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
    • Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, Alfredo sauce, and shrimp. Mix until the pasta and shrimp are well coated with the sauce.
    • Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake the Dish:
    • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the pasta mixture.
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
    • Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let it Rest and Serve:
    • Allow the Shrimp Alfredo Bake to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
