  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • Zest of 1 orange (optional, for extra citrus flavor)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Gelatin: In a mixing bowl, dissolve the orange gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved, then add 1/2 cup of cold water. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and chill for about 20-30 minutes, until it starts to thicken but is not fully set.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, gently fold together the whipped topping, cottage cheese, and crushed pineapple until well combined.
  3. Add the Gelatin: Once the gelatin has slightly thickened, fold it into the whipped topping mixture. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Incorporate the Oranges and Marshmallows: Add the drained mandarin oranges and mini marshmallows, folding them in carefully to avoid breaking up the oranges.
  5. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until fully set and chilled.
  6. Serve: Once chilled, transfer the Orange Fluff to a serving bowl and garnish with orange zest if desired. Serve cold and enjoy!
