Kitchen Equipment Needed:
- Large skillet or wok
- Cooking pot for boiling noodles
- Mixing spoon or spatula
- Knife and cutting board
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) flank steak, thinly sliced
- 8 oz (225g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz (225g) noodles (such as udon or rice noodles)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Directions:
- Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, marinate the thinly sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Cook the Steak and Shrimp: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the marinated steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked noodles and remaining teriyaki sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve: Transfer the Shrimp & Teriyaki Steak Noodles to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
- Enjoy: Serve hot and enjoy this delicious fusion dish with friends and family!
