Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  1. Large skillet or wok
  2. Cooking pot for boiling noodles
  3. Mixing spoon or spatula
  4. Knife and cutting board

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz (225g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz (225g) noodles (such as udon or rice noodles)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, marinate the thinly sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
  3. Cook the Steak and Shrimp: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the marinated steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Prepare the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked noodles and remaining teriyaki sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  6. Serve: Transfer the Shrimp & Teriyaki Steak Noodles to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
  7. Enjoy: Serve hot and enjoy this delicious fusion dish with friends and family!
