Ingredients

  • 4 large red tomatoes, sliced thickly
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  6. Drain and Serve: Remove the fried tomatoes from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve immediately.
