Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles

Directions:
- Prepare the Meat Sauce:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Cook the Noodles:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay them flat on a baking sheet to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
