Blueberry Lavender Lemonade is a beautifully refreshing drink that combines the tangy sweetness of blueberries with the delicate floral notes of lavender, all balanced by the zesty brightness of lemon. It’s not just a drink; it’s a delightful experience perfect for warm summer days.

If you’re looking for a refreshing and unique beverage that’s easy to make, you’ve come to the right place. The infusion of lavender gives it a subtle aromatic twist, making it stand out from traditional lemonade. Whether you’re hosting a summer party or just looking to cool off, this lemonade is sure to impress. Even if you’re not a fan of lavender, this drink can be just as delightful without it.

Kitchen Equipment Needed

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer or fine mesh sieve
  • Pitcher
  • Wooden spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices (for garnish, optional)

Directions

  1. Make the Blueberry Lavender Syrup:
    • In a saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
    • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries burst and release their juices (about 5 minutes).
    • Remove from heat and stir in the dried lavender.
    • Let the mixture steep for about 10 minutes to infuse the lavender flavor.
    • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
    • Allow the syrup to cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Lemonade:
    • In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the blueberry lavender syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of water.
    • Stir well to combine.
    • Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if desired.
  3. Serve:
    • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry lavender lemonade over the ice.
    • Garnish with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices if desired.
    • Stir before serving to ensure the flavors are well mixed.

Enjoy this refreshing Blueberry Lavender Lemonade as a perfect summer beverage that’s both unique and easy to make!
