Ingredients
  

For the glaze

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce ensure Halal-friendly
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

For the salmon

  • 2 fillets salmon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined.
  • Place the salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet. Season them with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Generously brush the maple glaze on top of the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Save a little for basting later.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Bake the salmon for about 12–15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork, basting halfway through cooking with the remaining glaze.
  • Remove the salmon from the oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

Substitute maple syrup with honey or coconut aminos as needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze wrapped tightly for 2-3 months. Reheat in the oven or pan with a splash of lemon juice.
