Equipment

  • Slow cooker (Crockpot)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Large spoon or spatula
  • Cooking spray (optional for greasing)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving platter

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns or sandwich rolls
  • Optional toppings: Sliced pepperoni green peppers, olives, or onions

Instructions

  • Prepare the Meat Mixture
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Form the Patties
  • Shape the beef mixture into four equal-sized patties. The mixture will be a bit sticky, so wet your hands with a little water if necessary to help shape the patties.
  • Cook in the Crockpot
  • Spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or lightly grease it. Place the patties in the slow cooker, layering them if necessary.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the patties are fully cooked through and the cheese has melted.
  • Assemble the Pizza Burgers
  • Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the slow cooker. Toast the hamburger buns lightly, if desired.
  • Place a patty on each bun and top with additional pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, olives, or peppers.
  • Serve and Enjoy
  • Serve your delicious Crockpot Pizza Burgers with a side salad, fries, or even roasted veggies for a complete meal!
