  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • as needed Water For adjusting consistency.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • In a food processor, combine avocado, chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Pulse until the mixture is well blended, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  • Add water a tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil if desired, and garnish with paprika or other toppings.
  • Serve immediately with veggies, pita chips, or spread it on sandwiches.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. To freeze, portion into freezer bags and it can last up to 3 months.
