  • 1 21-ounce can apple pie filling
  • 1 14-ounce can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 box yellow or spice cake mix about 15.25 ounces
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Baking Dish
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer Fruit
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Spoon the cranberry sauce over the apples and spread gently.
  • Sprinkle with ground cinnamon for added warmth.
  • Add Cake Mix
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the fruit layer.
  • Drizzle Butter
  • Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring most of the surface is moistened.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top, if using.
  • Bake
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve
  • Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
