Cinnamon Donut Bread

Cinnamon Donut Bread is a soft, moist loaf with the nostalgic flavor of cinnamon sugar donuts. It's perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert, with a tender crumb and a sugary crust that tastes like your favorite bakery treat.

Ingredients
  

  • For the Bread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • For the Topping
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Prepare for Baking
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Make the Batter
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a medium bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Add the Cinnamon Swirl
  • In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon sugar swirl ingredients (sugar and cinnamon).
  • Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  • Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar into the batter.
  • Bake the Bread
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  • Add the Topping
  • Brush the top of the slightly cooled bread with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping evenly over the surface.
