Chili Mac and Cheese

Chili Mac and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food, combining the rich, hearty flavors of chili with the creamy, cheesy goodness of macaroni.

Equipment

  • Large skillet or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cheese grater

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: sliced green onions sour cream, or jalapeños

Instructions
 

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet.
  • Add onion, garlic, and spices, cooking until fragrant.
  • Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth. Add pasta.
  • Simmer until pasta is tender.
  • Stir in cheeses until creamy.
