  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the mixture.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, and egg.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Form the mixture into small puffs or balls, ensuring they hold together well.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the potato puffs until they turn golden brown on all sides, usually about 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Remove the puffs from the pan and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Serving

  • Serve these warm, either as a side dish or as a tasty appetizer.

Notes

Best served warm. Serve with dipping sauces like ranch, sour cream, or spicy ketchup. Can store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to a month.
