Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls

Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls are a delightfully savory snack that’s filled with tender broccoli and gooey cheese. They’re not heavy or overly greasy either. I think they’re a perfect appetizer for any gathering, and if you’re not a broccoli fan, feel free to substitute with your favorite veggie. They will still be undeniably delicious!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Food processor (optional)
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped broccoli steamed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Prepare the Broccoli: Finely chop the steamed and drained broccoli. You can use a food processor for a finer texture.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, eggs, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the Balls: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake the Balls: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the balls are golden brown and crispy.
  • Cool and Serve: Remove the balls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
