  2. Rolling pin

Ingredients: For the Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

Directions:

    • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse cbs.
    • Gradually add the milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
    • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth. Shape the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • In another mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Gently fold in the diced strawberries until evenly distributed. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the Rolls:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
    • Spread the cream cheese and strawberry mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  4. Slice and Bake:
    • Using a sharp knife, cut the dough log into 1-inch slices and place them on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
