Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners, this casserole combines tender rotisserie chicken with savory stuffing and creamy sauce for a dish that’s sure to become a new family favorite.

With its hearty flavors and simple preparation, this casserole is a delicious way to enjoy the classic combination of chicken and stuffing in one satisfying dish.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  1. 9×13-inch baking dish
  2. Mixing bowls
  3. Whisk
  4. Aluminum foil

Ingredients:

For the Casserole:

  • 4 cups cooked and shredded rotisserie chicken (about 1 whole chicken)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups prepared stuffing (homemade or store-bought)

For Garnish (optional):

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Sliced green onions

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Casserole Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Layer the Casserole: Spread half of the prepared stuffing evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish. Top the stuffing layer with the shredded rotisserie chicken.
  4. Pour Sauce Over Chicken: Pour the cream of chicken mixture over the chicken, spreading it out evenly to cover the chicken completely.
  5. Top with Remaining Stuffing: Spread the remaining half of the prepared stuffing evenly over the top of the chicken and sauce mixture.
  6. Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Uncover and Bake: After 30 minutes, remove the foil from the baking dish and continue to bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the top is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Once the casserole is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

    I never comment on recipes but had to come back to this one! Loved it, only thing I’d do different next time is I’d toss the chicken in the sauce. The sauce overflowed in my oven but other than that it was delicious!
