Get ready to experience the ultimate fusion of two beloved classics – Philly cheese steak and egg rolls! These crispy, savory delights are packed with tender steak, melted cheese, and flavorful veggies, all wrapped up in a golden egg roll wrapper.

Whether you’re hosting a game day party or simply craving a delicious snack, Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls are sure to impress with their irresistible combination of flavors and textures.

Kitchen Equipment Needed:

  1. Large skillet or frying pan
  2. Baking sheet
  3. Mixing bowl
  4. Cooking oil for frying

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or flank steak)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking oil, for frying

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat some cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed, then add the thinly sliced onion and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft and caramelized, about 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Place a small amount of the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables in the center of the wrapper. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top of the filling.
  4. Roll the Egg Rolls: Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly to form a cylinder. Seal the edge of the wrapper with a little water to secure the egg roll.
  5. Fry the Egg Rolls: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat cooking oil to 350°F (180°C) over medium-high heat. Carefully add the egg rolls, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the egg rolls from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined baking sheet.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or sriracha mayo. Enjoy the delicious fusion of flavors and textures in every bite!
