  • Spatula

Directions:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Combine Mixtures:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Add Corn and Sour Cream:
    • Fold in the creamed corn, whole kernel corn, and sour cream until evenly distributed.
  6. Add Cheese (Optional):
    • If using, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Pour into Baking Dish:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
