For the guacamole

  • 2 pieces ripe avocados Choose perfectly ripe avocados.
  • 1 piece ripe tomato, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime juiced (about 2 tablespoons) Add extra lime for freshness.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • to taste teaspoon Salt
  • 1 piece jalapeño, finely chopped (optional, for heat) Add for extra spiciness.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients for smoother and quicker preparation.
  • Dice your tomato and onion, mince your garlic, and finely chop your jalapeño if you are adding it.
  • Cut the avocados in half and carefully remove the pits. Use a spoon to scoop out the green flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocado to your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).
  • Add the lime juice, diced tomato, chopped onion, garlic, cilantro, and optional jalapeño to the mashed avocado. Stir well to combine.
  • Sprinkle in salt to your liking, mix once more, and ensure the flavors are well integrated.

Serving

  • Transfer your guacamole to a bowl and serve it with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or spoon it on tacos. Enjoy the zesty goodness!

Notes

To keep your guacamole fresh, store it in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed onto the surface to minimize exposure to air. It lasts 1 to 2 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for up to 3 months.
