- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
To start, heat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
Stir together olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
Mix the chicken wings in the mixture until they are fully coated.
Place them on a baking sheet and bake until they become crispy and cooked through, which typically takes 25-30 minutes.
While the wings are in the oven, take the opportunity to make the sauce by heating the butter in a saucepan on medium heat.
Blend together the lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and paprika in a saucepan and stir until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Let the sauce simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes until it thickens and turns smooth.
Once done, remove the wings from the oven and coat them by tossing them in the sauce until they are evenly covered.
