Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen Choose a ripe watermelon for best results.
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup Optional, adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 unit lime juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • a pinch salt Enhances the flavors of the slushie.
  • to taste fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional, for a refreshing touch.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel and cube the watermelon, then spread the cubes on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2-3 hours until solid.
  • In a blender, combine the frozen watermelon cubes, honey or agave syrup (if using), lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend on high until a smooth, slush-like consistency is achieved. If it's too thick, add a splash of water or coconut water.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or agave syrup as needed, then blend again.
  • Pour the watermelon slushie into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the freezer. Allow to sit at room temperature before giving it a quick blitz in the blender to restore slushy consistency.
