  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Ensure the unsalted butter is softened at room temperature.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  • Using a spatula or hand mixer, blend the ingredients until well combined and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Spoon the mixture into an airtight container or roll it into a log shape using parchment paper for easy slicing later.
  • Refrigerate the cowboy butter for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the Ultimate Cowboy Butter on grilled dishes, as a topping for baked potatoes, or spread on warm bread.

Notes

Switch up the herbs according to your taste. For longer storage, freeze the butter shaped into a log for future use.
