Truffle Filling

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese Use high-quality mascarpone for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Measure accurately to achieve perfect texture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons espresso or strong coffee, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips, for melting Choose a good quality chocolate.
  • cocoa powder or crushed nuts, for rolling Optional, for added flavor and texture.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, espresso, and vanilla extract. Beat until the mixture is thick and fluffy.
  • Use a spoon or cookie scoop to portion the mixture and roll it into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the rolled balls on a lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate and allow excess chocolate to drip off before returning them to the baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, roll the truffles in cocoa powder or crushed nuts as desired.
  • Return the coated truffles to the fridge for about 15 minutes to let the chocolate set.
  • Serve the Tiramisu Truffles on a platter and enjoy!

Notes

These truffles are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or frozen for up to three months.
