  • 1 package 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened Ensure it is at room temperature for mixing.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken (optional: seasoning for flavor) Can substitute with black beans for a vegetarian version.

For Flavor and Texture

  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust to your taste preferences.

Preparation

  • Ensure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend until smooth.
  • Gradually mix in the shredded chicken, seasoning with your favorite spices if desired.
  • Add the diced bell peppers and green onions, mixing gently.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing mix until well combined.
  • Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional ranch dressing or top with extra cheese if desired.

Serving

  • Serve chilled or warm. To warm, bake in an oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for a month. To reheat, use a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1-2 minutes until warmed through.
