  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (not baking soda)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the wings and toss until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, skin-side up, allowing space for air circulation.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Serve with dipping sauces like ranch or hot sauce.

Notes

For best results, do not skip drying the wings before seasoning. Ensure there's enough space on the wire rack to prevent sogginess.
