  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 can chili beans (15 oz), drained
  • 1 can diced green chilies (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, chopped Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or standard whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese until well combined.
  • Add drained chili beans, diced green chilies, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish or any oven-safe bowl.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro if desired. Serve hot with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers!

Notes

To enhance flavors, customize the spice level with different types of jalapeños. Consider adding protein like shredded chicken for a heartier dip. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven.
