Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon Fillets (skinless) Make sure they are Halal-certified.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Can be substituted with coconut sugar.
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use Halal-certified soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • to taste Ground Black Pepper
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, ground ginger, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon fillets on the sheet. Brush them generously with the glaze, reserving some for later.

Cooking

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • In the last few minutes, brush the salmon with the reserved glaze.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat using low temperature in the oven or skillet to avoid drying out.
