  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Can substitute with canola or avocado oil.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Consider mixing with lime juice for a milder flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt Or to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for extra spice.
  • to taste fresh parsley, for garnish, chopped

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the large shrimp under cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Add the cleaned shrimp to the bowl and toss to ensure they are evenly coated with the marinade. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Once marinated, thread the shrimp onto skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  • Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, brushing with any remaining marinade.

Serving

  • Remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat to retain texture.
