Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Seasoning

  • Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub each steak with olive oil or melted ghee, then season generously with salt and black pepper.

Preheat Your Pan

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy frying pan over high heat until it’s screaming hot.

Searing the Steak

  • Place the seasoned ribeye steaks into the hot skillet. Sear them for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.

Flipping

Resting the Steak

  • Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and cover lightly with foil. Allow them to rest for about 5-10 minutes.

Serving

  • Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides. Drizzle any remaining garlic oil or melted ghee from the skillet over the sliced steak for extra flavor.

Notes

For perfect steaks, choose well-marbled cuts and allow resting time. Experiment with toppings like garlic butter or chimichurri.
