  • Gather all your ingredients so you’re ready to go. Preheat your frying oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese and shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper for added flavor. Stir well until the two cheeses are fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg until smooth. In another shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.

Forming and Coating

  • Take a tablespoon of the cheese mixture and shape it into a stick (about 3 inches long). Repeat until you’ve shaped all your mixture.
  • Dip each cheese stick in the beaten egg and then roll it in the breadcrumbs until fully coated. This step is key to achieving that golden crunch!

Cooking

  • Carefully place your coated sticks into the hot oil. Fry them until they’re golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove them carefully and drain on paper towels.
