  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos (your favorite flavor) Use your favorite flavor for added taste.

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • Start by cooking your rice according to the package instructions. Set it aside once cooked.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess fat and add the taco seasoning to the meat. Pour in a little water if needed to help distribute the seasoning. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing everything together until heated through.

Assembly

  • In serving bowls, layer the rice-meat mixture as the base.
  • Add a generous handful of diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese.
  • Top each bowl with a dollop of sour cream and a splash of salsa.
  • Finally, sprinkle the crushed Doritos on top for that unbeatable crunch!

Serving

  • Gather everyone around and let them customize their bowls with additional toppings of their taste.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for a minute or two.
