Sweet Alabama Pecanbread

Sweet Alabama Pecanbread is a rich, moist, and buttery dessert that combines the nutty crunch of pecans with a hint of vanilla sweetness.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Your Oven:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and lightly flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients:
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Make the Batter:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans with a rubber spatula.
  • Pour and Spread:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve:
  • Let the pecanbread cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
