Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Self-Rising Flour Ensures your biscuits rise perfectly.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Use cheddar, mozzarella, or your cheese of choice—make sure it’s halal.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted for that rich flavor and unique texture.
  • 3/4 cup Milk Adds moisture and helps bind the ingredients together.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour and shredded cheese until well combined.
  • Melt the butter and drizzle it into the mixture. Blend with a fork or your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually pour in the milk and stir until the dough starts coming together, resulting in a slightly sticky, cohesive dough.
  • Turn out the mixture onto a floured surface. Knead it a few times until smooth, then pat it into about 1-inch thick rounds.
  • Cut the dough with a biscuit cutter or use a glass.
  • Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Enjoy them fresh out of the oven with your favorite dipping sauces or toppings!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes, or microwave for 20 seconds.
