Fruits

  • 4 pieces ripe peaches, sliced Choose sweet and fragrant peaches.
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced Fresh strawberries for sweetness.
  • 1 cup blueberries Use fresh blueberries.
  • 1 cup melon (cantaloupe or honeydew), diced Dice into bite-sized pieces.

Other Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon juice of lime Enhances flavors and prevents browning.
  • to taste fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional, for added flavor and presentation.

Preparation

  • Wash the peaches, strawberries, and blueberries under cool water. Pat them dry with a paper towel. Slice the peaches into wedges and hull the strawberries before cutting them into halves or quarters.
  • Slice the melon in half and scoop out or cut the flesh into bite-sized cubes.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, strawberries, blueberries, and diced melon. Toss gently to mix the fruits together.
  • Squeeze the juice of one lime over the fruit mixture and toss again.
  • Sprinkle with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Serving

  • Chill the salad in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes before serving it up in individual bowls.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days in the refrigerator. Best served cold. Prepare fruits ahead of time but add lime juice just before serving for maximum freshness.
