Ingredients
  

For the Latte

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) Can substitute with almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee Cool slightly if making iced version.
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree Made from fresh strawberries.
  • 1 tbsp sugar or sweetener (optional)
  • to taste ice For iced version.
  • to taste whipped cream Optional topping.
  • to taste fresh strawberries For garnish.

Preparation

  • Wash and hull about 1 cup of fresh strawberries. Blend them until smooth in a food processor or blender to make strawberry puree.
  • Brew 1/2 cup of strong espresso or coffee while the strawberries are blending.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the milk and 1/2 cup of strawberry puree. Heat until warm, avoiding boiling.
  • Pour the brewed espresso or coffee into a glass. If making an iced version, fill the glass with ice first.
  • Pour the strawberry milk mixture over the coffee and stir gently to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and fresh strawberry slices if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Strawberry Latte Iced or Hot!

Notes

For the best experience, serve the hot version immediately. The strawberry puree can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
