Strawberry Lasagna

Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 package Graham Crackers, crushed into fine crumbs About 10-12 sheets
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted

For the cream cheese layer

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 ounces Whipped Topping, thawed (can substitute with homemade whipped cream)

For the strawberry layer

  • 3 cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter. Mix well until all crumbs are coated.
  • Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form an even layer. Allow it to set.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until it’s mixed well.

Assembly

  • Spread half of the cream cheese filling over the prepared crust.
  • Layer half of the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese filling.
  • Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of the strawberries.
  • Finish with a final layer of the remaining sliced strawberries and sprinkle some powdered sugar over the top.

Chilling

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

Customize your filling with other fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Not suitable for freezing.
