Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup diced strawberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the wontons

  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying Enough to cover the bottom of the skillet (about 1-2 inches deep)
  • Additional dusting powdered sugar For serving

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, diced strawberries, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Assembling the Wontons

  • Lay out a wonton wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling in the center. Moisten the edges, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press to seal.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the wontons in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Serving

  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

Customize your filling by using mango or blueberries instead! Make sure not to overcrowd the skillet for the best frying results.
