  • 1 pound Chicken Breast, sliced into bite-sized pieces You can substitute with chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  • 8 oz Noodles (preferably egg noodles or rice noodles) Cook according to package instructions.
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor of the dish.
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce For a gluten-free option, use tamari.
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar You can also use honey for a sweeter touch.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil Used for sautéing the chicken.

Garnishes

  • 2 Green Onions, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds For garnish.
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Once at a rolling boil, add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the noodles are cooking, whisk together the soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Stir frequently for about 1 minute, until fragrant (but be careful not to burn the garlic!).
  • Pour in the soy sauce mixture and add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Garnishing and Serving

  • Remove from heat and top with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro, if using. Serve immediately, and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. For longer storage, freeze for up to a month. Reheat on the stovetop over low heat, adding a splash of water or soy sauce to prevent drying out.
