  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use the freshest strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries Use the freshest raspberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup green tea, brewed and cooled Brew according to package instructions.
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Ice cubes For serving.
  • Fresh mint leaves Optional, for garnish.

Preparation

  • Brew your green tea according to package instructions. Allow it to cool completely before using.
  • In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and raspberries. Add a splash of cooled green tea and blend until smooth.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the blended berry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a jug, discarding the seeds and pulp.
  • In a large pitcher, mix the strained berry purée with the remaining green tea. Sweeten with honey or simple syrup to taste and stir well.
  • Fill glasses with ice, pour the berry refresher over the ice, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days in an airtight container. Prepare berry mix and green tea separately if making ahead of time.
