  • 1 pound ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adds saltiness and depth of flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust based on heat preference.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Provides aromatic flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced Enhances the spice profile.
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper Use any color bell pepper.
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots Adds sweetness and crunch.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced For garnish and extra flavor.
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce Can substitute with butter lettuce.

Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart and cook until it’s nicely browned and cooked through.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, sriracha, bell pepper, and carrots. Cook until the veggies are soft, about 5 minutes.
  • While the beef mixture is cooking, carefully separate the lettuce leaves and rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry.
  • Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into each leaf of lettuce. Top with green onions for an extra crunch.
  • Serve immediately, and don’t forget to have napkins handy—these scrumptious wraps can get a little messy!

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional toppings like diced cucumbers or alternative sauces. Store leftover beef in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3 days, and enjoy with fresh lettuce.
