Pasta and Sauce

  • 8 ounces spaghetti Cook according to package instructions
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Cheese and Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Plus extra for topping
  • 1 cup cooked, diced chicken Or substitute with any halal-friendly alternative
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced olives

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil or Italian seasoning for garnish Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti and marinara sauce. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese, diced chicken, bell peppers, olives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until everything is well mixed.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish. Spread it evenly and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil or Italian seasoning if desired.

Notes
