Ingredients

For the filling

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

For the pretzels

  • 2 cups pretzel rods or pretzel twists
  • 1 cup chocolate chips milk or dark, your preference
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts optional but recommended
  • 1 pinch salt optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and confectioners' sugar. Stir until well blended and smooth. Set aside.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth.

Assembly

  • Begin by taking a pretzel rod and carefully spreading a thin layer of the peanut butter filling along one side—make sure it's generous but not overflowing.
  • Once you've filled the pretzel, dip it into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Use a fork to lift it out, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
  • Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with chopped peanuts or any toppings of your choice for added crunch.

Cooling

  • Place the pretzels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them cool until the chocolate hardens. You can speed this up by placing the tray in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Serving

  • Once set, they're ready to devour! Store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

For storing, keep in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for up to a week, refrigerated for a few weeks, or frozen for up to a month. To reheat, leave at room temperature or microwave for a few seconds.
