Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces Use affordable cuts for a budget-friendly option.
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, diced into even chunks Feel free to use your favorite potato variety.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure it's fully melted for mixing.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Ensure it’s halal-certified.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by cutting the beef chuck roast into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  • Place the diced potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker. Next, layer the seasoned beef on top of the potatoes.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the meat and potatoes, ensuring everything gets nice and coated. Finally, pour the beef broth over the entire mixture.
  • Set your slow cooker on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours. The longer, the better to achieve that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness!
  • Once cooked, give everything a good stir. Taste and adjust seasoning, if needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can substitute with chopped carrots or peas for added flavor and color. Avoid overcrowding the slow cooker for best results. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
