Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef tips or stew meat Use your favorite cut of beef
  • 1 cup beef broth Can use low-sodium broth if preferred
  • 1 onion, chopped Adds flavor and sweetness
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances flavor
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce For depth of flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference
  • 1 tbsp oil For browning the beef

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef tips on all sides.
  • Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
  • Add onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • If using, add any additional vegetables.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until beef is tender.

Serving

  • Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta. Add a sprinkle of fresh herbs for extra flavor.

Notes

Let any leftovers cool before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can also be frozen for later use.
