Preparation

  • Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  • Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about a minute until fragrant, avoiding burning.
  • Toss in the chopped cabbage, stirring well to coat with garlic and oil.
  • Sprinkle salt, black pepper, paprika, and caraway seeds (if using). Stir frequently for about 10 minutes until tender with caramelized edges.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice and stir to combine.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, you can experiment with spices like chili flakes or herbs. Leftover cabbage can be used as filling for wraps or sandwiches.
