  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey (Halal certified) You can swap for ground chicken or a plant-based option.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn, and carrots)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with a creamy white sauce.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional) For added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Fold in the mixed vegetables and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the meat and vegetable mixture evenly, then layer with shredded cheese and tater tots.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) to revive crispy texture.
