  • 1 cup water or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese

Instructions
 

  • Begin the process of preparing rolled oats by bringing water or vegetable broth to a boil in a small pot.
  • Once it has reached boiling point, add the oats and lower the heat to a low setting.
  • Stir the mixture, cover the pot, and cook the oats until they are tender, which should take around 5-7 minutes.
  • As you cook the oats, take out a non-stick pan or griddle, and fry an egg to your liking.
  • When the oats are done, mix in the chopped vegetables, and shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Move the oatmeal into a serving dish and garnish it with a fried egg. Present it while it's steaming hot.
