  • 1 pound ground turkey Use Halal-friendly turkey
  • 1 cup bread crumbs Halal-friendly bread recommended
  • ½ cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning Halal-friendly seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped Optional
  • to taste olive oil for baking

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté for about 3-5 minutes until translucent. Then add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, sautéed onion and garlic, dried cranberries, egg, poultry seasoning, salt, black pepper, and parsley if using. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Shape the mixture into balls, using about 2 tablespoons for each ball. Repeat until all mixture is used, yielding around 16-18 balls.
  • Arrange the stuffing balls on a lined baking sheet, drizzle lightly with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
  • Allow the stuffing balls to cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For ingredient substitutions, ground chicken or lean beef can be used. Ensure that all ingredients comply with Halal requirements. To maintain moisture, avoid overcooking and overmixing the mixture.
