For the Bites

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough such as flaky biscuits
  • 1 lb ground sausage mild or spicy, depending on preference
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage and cook thoroughly, breaking it up as it browns for about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Flatten each biscuit to create a bigger surface.
  • Place a spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit. Fold the biscuit over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Arrange the stuffed biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these delightful bites warm!
