  • Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and trim the stem. Slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick steaks, yielding about 4 to 6 steaks.
  • Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings. Coat both sides.

Roasting

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through until golden brown with crispy edges.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving. Enjoy warm, garnished with fresh herbs or your favorite dressing.

Notes

For perfect cabbage steaks, ensure even slicing for consistent cooking. Experiment with various spices and keep an eye on the roasting to avoid burning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating in the oven.
